Hi! I’m Laisa, and I’m a producer, casting director and actor based in NYC. I graduated from NYU Tisch with a drama and latine studies double major as well as a producing minor. As a creative, I find myself drawn to my upbringing in the culturally rich and simultaneously homogeneous Rio Grande Valley, a region bordering Mexico in the South of Texas. This is the place where I learned to tell stories, and so every project I partake in is in some way connected to my home and to my latinidad. At NYU, I set out to learn about latinidad from a more granular place and subsequently, create stories about latines in film that are both authentic and highlight the unique essence of every story. I’m so excited to be a part of this project and work with all these talented individuals in film!
